So after almost two years of writing, re-writing, editing, re-editing, the book is completed. Just received the galley proof and will be available for pre-order VERY soon. Keep your eyes out (no pun intended) for one of the best zombie stories ever.

So, Crypticon Seattle, 2012 is just around the corner. This year will introduce two firsts. R.L. Reeves and M.R. Mitchell will be premiering their first Zombie novel, AfterDark: Survival, but more importantly, the two Blysster Press authors will be getting married on the opening night of Crypticon (May 25th). The wedding will  around 7:30 in the main vendor room on the main stage. Please come and be a part of the joining of Vampire and Zombie in undead wedlock.

Had a great time this weekend at ZomBcon, Seattle. Met tons of great new friends and hooked up with old ones. Manned the Blysster Press booth with fellow author, Clyde Wolfe and our wonderful publisher, Charity Becker. Good times.

And I mean wicked in that ye olde “dude, that was wicked” kind of way. ZomBcon starts this Friday!  Yay! We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  Even MORE exciting than that, in honor of ZomBcon, starting Friday October 21 the first three chapters of Afterdark:Survival will be available for your enjoyment right here!

Here we go again. Book is submitted to publisher. We also have really cool cover art and inside illustration from Nick the Hat.

Alrighty, we’ve done as much editing as we know how to do and the book really is off to the publisher. We are working hard to have a finished book by ZomBcon…just sayin.

So, now the book is back in the hands of our beloved publisher. Now, we have Nick Gucker (see the Nick the Hat link over there on the right), who keeps sending us these wonderful sketches for the cover of the book, and as fabulous as he is, he has not made choosing an easy task. Truthfully, it’s a little overwhelming to see characters that have only been in your head actually sketched out on a page by someone. It’s also cool as hell, and Nick is fantastic. I know, I’m gushing, but I can do that here.

This weekend we are going to give ourselves some much needed relaxation time with SOME of the friends who have suffered our absence through this whole process of getting the book completed. Hopefully, we will be able to express how much we have missed just hanging out with them and how important their patience and support has been to us, but we only have a weekend to do it in. Nothing like some camping and investigating to reseal your bonds with people right? Mosquitoes and ghostly apparitions here we come! We’re both excited.

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of certain individuals who have been tooling around back East on the paranormal investigator’s dream vacation. They have been calling it the Lost Souls Tour (cute name guys). They have been to Waverly Hills Sanatorium and Trans-Allegheny Sanitarium. I believe that Western State Penitentiary is also on the bill.  Bobby Mack’s Music World was closed the night they went to cruise by there.  They didn’t want to see the stupid portal to hell anyway so there! Hopefully, they bring back cool pictures and stories. We could use some good material just in case we ever wanted to do a ghost story….
